Question: What are the selection criteria of load resistors for the control of communication lines of outlets “L/S”, “Fir”, “Flt” of the device “ARTON-04P”?
Answer: The residual voltage on a switched off outlet depends on the value of resistors’ resistance. The more the rating of this resistor the more the voltage drop. The output voltage for 3.3 KΩ is not more than 2.5 V. If the outlet operates on a blocking relay BR4-4, then the resistance could not be fixed so as the active resistance of the relay is sufficiently low – approx. 560 Ω. But if a sounder is connected to the outlet “L/S”, the low squeak of some sirens sensitive to low current is possible. In this case it is recommended to reduce the resistance to 1 Ω or simply to choose it to match by experiment with the certain siren.
